 Hedge fund manager and billionaire investor Ray Dalio reiterated his stance on China’s dominance in the application and usage of artificial intelligence technology.

The founder of Bridgewater Associates, Dalio, while speaking at a CNBC event, Converge Live in Singapore, highlighted how the United States was “uniquely competitive” in inventing, and particularly inventing the best chips in the world.

However, he said that the U.S. was uncompetitive in mass producing them. “China is behind but not by a lot in the best chips,” he said, adding that the Asian country was ahead in producing more chips and having those chips working together in applications.

“They are ahead on the applications, and they are integrating chips with robotics, and way ahead on that,” he said about China.

Furthermore, he acknowledged that application and usage are going to be two big factors of competition in the future.

「以武器換和平談判」，這聽起來有沒有很奇怪？事實上，這是俄羅斯媒體《生意人報》(Коммерсантъ) 對昨天 (3/11) 烏克蘭與美國在吉達 (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) 會議結果的定性 (https://www.kommersant.ru/doc/7565324?from=top_main_1)。

武器協助戰鬥，和平期待止戰，既要烏克蘭接受談判，又提供烏克蘭武器，不會很反常嗎？

我想，絕大多數國際媒體不會為這個違反邏輯的事傷腦筋，他們會覺得，烏克蘭「本來」就應得到武器援助，只不過川普一聲令下暫停供給，烏克蘭擺低姿態，讓川普有了面子，也就恢復了。

但是，俄羅斯人的看法呢？或者，俄羅斯人無法表達意見，但俄羅斯媒體呢？由《生意人報》對吉達會議的定性，某種程度呈現這場戰爭的荒謬。

《生意人報》立場偏俄羅斯官方 [*自俄羅斯入侵烏克蘭後，俄羅斯國內已經沒有獨立媒體]，但因媒體屬性主要為俄羅斯商業界代言，有了些許自由度。不像塔斯社 (TASS)、俄羅斯新聞社 (RIA Novosti) 和國際文傳電訊社 (Interfax) 因對俄羅斯媒體統一供稿，需要彌合官方口徑，反而沒有在第一時間對吉達會議有任何表達。

關於這陣子川普一頭熱推動的和平談判，俄羅斯媒體大多閉口不談，除了美國暫停烏克蘭軍援一事，有欣喜的報導之外。

不過，俄羅斯被烏克蘭打怕了倒有跡可循：比如在歡喜美國停止烏克蘭軍援時刻，「提醒」俄羅斯人，烏克蘭的武器庫存再打幾個月都沒問題 (https://www.rt.com/....../614033-russia-ukraine....../)。

至於烏克蘭人面對暫停軍援的對應呢？

在國際外交上，烏克蘭哭窮，表現亟需援助；但在國內，其國民對抵抗與否已有足夠認識，不至於一夕崩盤。

Sikorski refuted this claim, highlighting that Poland finances its use in Ukraine by paying $50 million and that any shutdown threat would compel them to find an alternative network.

Rubio dismissed Sikorski’s concerns, suggesting he should be more appreciative, while Musk called the Polish foreign minister a “small man” who pays only a “fraction of the cost,” in subsequent posts.

This heated exchange comes in the wake of a recent cyberattack on Musk’s social media platform, X, which Musk attributed to Ukraine. Musk, who is currently overseeing the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), revealed that his platform was under a significant cyberattack, suspected to have originated from Ukraine.
